  No alcohol, but real good sushi. I ordered the tuna sashimi and the two pieces were huge compared to many sushi restaurants. The Hamachi and Unagi Nigiri were excellent and I Took a wild leap and ordered the Lion King Roll, which was outstanding. It's an eel roll with spicy tuna on top. I loved it. I'm glad I chose to give this place a try. I've had sushi all over the world and this was really good sushi. The service was just fine. My only beef is that there was no alcohol.

  The water is great. The salad is great. I don't feel as if I got what I ordered because what I got did not match what the write up was and I was not going to ask. All I do know is that it said vegetables and the only vegetable I got was a mushroom spinach and something I think is tofu that look like a penis. That's what I said. Plus it was very very very very very very hard and it burnt my tongue.

  I just moved to the area, and I think I fell in love with this place. We went in on a Friday night, it wasn't too busy. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was phenomenal, and our waitress/cook were so friendly! We ordered three rolls along with the agedashi tofu. Will come again and next time post pictures.

  My mom has been wanting to eat here for a while, what better time to try than for a birthday lunch! The staff (I assume the wife was the hostess and server, while the husband was the chef) were very attentive and nice (although we were the only ones dining in the restaurant for over an hour during lunchtime).  A huge negative for me when ordering sushi is not having a photo of the rolls; I prefer to see what I am about to eat.  We were served hot tea and ice water (no straw...that's a positive!) promptly, and ordered our edamame.  That came out super quickly, as well, and was as expected.  The rolls my mom and I decided on had ingredients similar to our favorite rolls from other establishments, so we assumed they would be safe.  The magma had sweet potato on top, which is something neither of us has ever tried..it was tasty!!  The spider roll, on the other hand, had a weird, black super-fishy tasting substance.  I tried asking what it was, but could not understand the server.  We decided to just pick out the black stuff....
  Overall, our experience here was okay: not great, but not horrible.  The menu was extensive and offered something for everyone, and the prices were reasonable.  Inside was tastefully decorated and bathrooms were clean.  
  We will never go back, though.  Both my mom and I became ill within a few hours (I am glad we  only ate a few bites of that black, crunchy fish!).  I have never had sushi make me so ill!  Maybe it was just our experience, but I wouldn't suggest eating here if you expect high quality sushi!

  Left one sushi place and came to another.  Good choice.
  
  These folks are always pretty good, and this will be our go to from now on here in Battle Creek.  Be it udon, sushi, sashimi... Whatever, it seems to always be pretty fresh and the prices are in line with other places in the area.
  
  The Umai Roll today was outstanding, as was the spicy yellow tail.  
  
  Besides that, always great service from the friendly staff.
